Couples in Casablanca

My visit to Casablanca was extremely short: less than a day.  Here are pictures of two couples that give a bit of a sense of the city’s character.

Rue Goulmima is in a working-class neighborhood that has attracted migrants from other parts of Morocco for over a century.  I didn’t intend to photograph the couple and was trying to get a picture of a mural by a fish market. I rarely photograph strangers (except when they march in parades) even more so if they wear clothing that marks them as religiously observant. Yet seeing this couple as a tourist in the rear-view mirror captures a moment worth sharing.
Boulevard D’Anfa is the main street of an upper/middle-class neighborhood.  To the right of the couple (not visible in the picture) is a Starbucks.
